Gingivoplasty is a procedure to reshape the gums.

 

It consists of removing the excess gum that covers part of the teeth,

it aims to treat patients with a “gummy” smile.

A gingivoplasty can also be performed to reshape the gumline to give better aesthetic results before fitting new crowns, bridges or veneers.

This intervention is carried out under local anesthesia, the duration of the intervention is 15 minutes, no pain afterwards.
